“What are you going to do with what you have heard?”

* The following notes were taken from Revival services on 4/20/2013 with Pastor Gary Vick ministering.

Mark 5:25-29 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. (NIV)

When the woman with the issue of blood HEARD about Jesus, she acted upon it and went in faith seeking Him, because she HEARD that He could heal the sick and believed that He would do the same for her. She did not have 1st hand experience with Jesus and His ministry. She was relying on what she had HEARD.

If you can’t handle what you’ve already heard whether from God, through His word or testimony from other believers, then why would God continue speaking to you. For most Christians we have HEARD enough of God’s word and from God in our lives so far that we would not need to hear from God again in order to be able to go out and be witnesses and work for the kingdom of God. God will not continue speaking to you or giving you wisdom of His word if you are not going to do anything with it!   Begin to act on the things you have already HEARD and God will do His part in fulfilling His word in and through you.
