Make A Difference

Ministering In Your Community & Around The World

At the International House of Prayer Ministries, we believe that everyone has a calling to further the kingdom of God by serving in a ministry in some capacity.  From Internal ministries at IHOPM, community involvement, or opportunities to spread the Gospel around the world, we want to inspire and equip the congregation of IHOPM to get involved in ministry and heed the calling that God has on your life.

Celebrate Recovery

Recovering from the habits & hangups in your life that keep you from meaningful relationships with your family and friends or interfere with your walk with Jesus can often be a long, challenging road.  Our Celebrate Recovery ministry uses biblicly based principles to help individuals with addiction issues that are currently affecting their lives as well as helping you recover from traumatic events from your past that allow you the fully embrace the life promised through the Gospel.

Youth & Children Ministry:

With every generation, young people are met with unique pressures and adversity in the current culture.  Being able to meet those challenges from a faith perspective is so important and having the support of other young people and the direction of adults who are able to communicate the love of Jesus and impart the wisdom of the scriptures through teaching is a key element in ensuring that our young people grow in faith and continue that faith into adulthood.

Jesus called us to carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth, and being involved in foreign missions allows us to do that.  God has placed a special calling on our church to be involved in supporting ministries in Nepal & India.  We ensure that local, native ministries have the resources they need to spread the gospel among their own people. We have been honored to be working with these ministries for over 20 years and have seen over a million people in those countries put their faith in Jesus.

Our Community:

At the House of Prayer, we stand by our mission of being a Community Inspired Church.  This means that we are always looking for ways to be involved in ministries that affect the people of Shelbyville & Bedford County.  Our church supports the community soup kitchen, food pantries, the local pro-life pregnancy center, and a local fostering ministry.

It is our goal to get everyone plugged into the different ministry opportunities that the House of Prayer is involved with.  We hold trainings each year for people interested in ministry as well as have ministry events that get people involved directly in those ministries.
